You can message someone directly from their profile depending on their messaging privacy settings. You can also send a connection request. Once they accept, you can start chatting.

Users can send photos, videos, and voice messages in chats. Tap the pictures icon in the message box to attach media. All media is encrypted and stored securely.

Users with activity status enabled show a green dot on their profile picture across the app — Discovery cards, search results, connections, and chat. It means they were active within the last 15 minutes. You can manage your own visibility via 'Show Activity Status' in Settings.

Yes — you can delete your own messages after sending them. Long-press the message and select "Delete." Both you and the recipient will see "Message deleted." Messages sent by the other person can't be deleted from their side, but you can delete or hide the conversation on your end.

You can message and send connection requests to anyone. Once they accept, you can message freely. If a user has their messaging privacy set to "Friends Only," you'll need to add them first. If they have it set to "Anyone," you can message them even before connecting.

Read receipts are not a feature of Neer Social. You won't see any indicators showing whether someone has viewed your message.

Press and hold any conversation in Messages to open the menu, then select "Delete." This removes the chat from your view, but not from the other person's. Deleted conversations are moved to Recently Deleted for 30 days before being permanently removed.

Whether you can message someone before they accept your connection request depends on their messaging privacy settings. If they've limited messaging to Friends only, you won't be able to contact them until they accept your request. If their setting allows messages from Anyone, then you can message them before they accept your friend request.

Start a group chat and invite whoever you want. They get a notification and can accept or ignore it. Invites expire after 30 days. Do not use invites to spam someone who has already turned you down.

Almost. A group chat is one you make yourself and it sticks around until you leave or delete it. An event chat belongs to an event, everyone attending is in it, and it closes when the event ends. Event chats also let you join anonymously, which group chats do not.
