Neer Social is a social app for meeting others nearby, joining or creating events, sharing posts, and messaging new connections.

Download the app and sign up with your phone number, email, or Sign in with Apple. Then add your basic details, interests, and a profile photo to finish your profile.

No. Other people never see your exact location. If Show Location is on, they’ll only see an approximate distance, such as “Under 1 mi.” You can turn this off anytime in Settings > Location.

Open iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Neer Social and choose While Using the App. To appear in Nearby Users, also turn on Show in Discovery in the app under Settings > Location.

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Neer Social account. You confirm your age when you sign up.

Yes. When you first open the app, you can choose a general campus area or skip location entirely. If you already shared it, turn off Show in Discovery in Settings > Location; turning off iPhone location access alone keeps your last saved location.

Sign-up walks you through it step by step. Add your name, age, bio, interests, and a profile photo; a complete profile helps people get to know you.

Nearby Users shows an approximate distance, such as "3 miles away," never an exact location. People more than 250 miles away show a city and state instead, or just their state if they have Show as Nearby on.

Yes. Go to Settings > Edit Profile to add links to your social media profiles.
